Laura Way

Formerly a film and TV actress, Laura Way is an award winning writer/director.
Laura was a director with one of Irelands leading commercial production companies; Pull the Trigger, before setting up Bodecii Film.
In 2016/2017/2018 she received nominations and honourable mention at the ICADS Young Directors Awards for Changeling Promo, Journey Home (Focus Ireland) and I Can’t Sleep (Focus Ireland) and was part of the prestigious Element Pictures Red Rock Directors Shadow Program.
She conceptualized, produced and directed the music video for Ronan Furlong ‘Hoplite Armour’ which went to No.1 in the iTunes Music Video Charts in October 2017.
Laura has written, produced and directed much of her own work including, short films, music videos and commercials.
Laura co-wrote and directed a TV pilot “Rising” which is currently in post production.
She is the co-ordinator of the Wexford Screen Writers Professional Development Programme working with the Wexford County Council to create opportunities for local talent and fund short films developed through the programme.
Laura runs the Gaiety School of Acting Graduate Screen Actors Programme devising, writing and directing the graduate Showcase since 2017 and is currently writing/directing the 2019 showcase.
Laura has also been the Writer/Director of The Lir, Trinity College, Graduate Screen Actors film 2018, Streetcar.
Laura directed two, one hour dramas of the TV3 drama series Red Rock and is currently directing BBC continuing drama, EastEnders.
She received acclaim for the EastEnders ‘Consent’ episode she directed in November 2018, hailed by Radio Times as ‘EastEnders Sexual Consent Episode it’s ‘Best Ever’.
